What an amazing journey it has been these last years. We started with 630 sq ft inside The Shops at Hager (formerly Hager Department Store) and expanded 2 1/2 years later into 2600 sq ft. Festoon was born in 2004 with the passion and desire to present a store that would knock your socks off. It houses the most extensive collection in Lancaster City of botanically correct silk flowers, boutique clothing, cards, jewelry and accessories, Home Decor and a large selection of locally made soy candles. "I was no stranger to the Hager building, in that having an art background in Fashion Illustration, I became employed by the department store 37 years ago". I drew fashions, returned the drawings to Hager and the next week they would appear in the Lancaster New Era. I never would have guessed that I would own a store inside of the store I illustrated for! Another opportunity arose to open a second location 2 1/2 years after opening the original Lancaster location. This store is 1.700 sq ft and designed the same as our original store. Its location is unique in that it is a bit in the country with a similar flair for the urban experience.
I grew to love being self employed when I opened my first business in Marietta, PA. It was an Avant Garde flower shop called Kathy's Flower Werks. It became one of Lancaster County's most innovative and art driven floral operations catering to the county's event, wedding and everyday floral needs. I operated that business successfully for almost 20 years.
I am crazy passionate about putting it all together to create the most wonderful sensory experience a customer can have. I don't know of any other store who merchandises product the way we do at Festoon. You know you are some place very cool when you walk through the doors at both stores. We boast a Team of Sales Professionals who are the best in customer service and live the Golden Rule. I am a Lancaster County Native who grew up in Manheim. I've got roots here that run very deep. Presently, my husband Bruce and I live in the city with our dog Turk (who spends a lot of time in the stores). We love being part of Lancaster with all its growth and opportunity.
